FD10 deep-cut face grooving inserts are designed for large depths of cut and high interrupted impact. All inserts feature a thin PVD coating, offering good toughness and impact resistance, making them suitable for deep face grooving applications.
Workpiece Machining Recommendations:
1. Ordinary 45#, 40Cr steel, and cast iron: Gray-black TiAlN coating offers the best cost-performance ratio; for heavy-duty, deep-cut applications, choose a rainbow-colored AlTiSiN coating for better lifespan.
2. 304/316 stainless steel: Bronze coating to prevent built-up edge.
3. Aluminum parts: Use polished, uncoated inserts; coated inserts may cause aluminum to stick.
